EestiI have been working in the educational landscape since 2008. I work as a development manager at Pärnu Joint Gymnasium and teach 10th grade students memory and learning knowledge within the subject course "Memory and Learning". Previously, I was an English teacher and class teacher for 14 years and led the foreign languages subject area at Pärnu Old Town Basic School. In addition to my long-term experience in general education, I have been working since 2019 as a lecturer in teacher training at the Institute of Educational Sciences at Tallinna Ülikool. My main research interests and fields are related to supporting learning and teaching – memory and learning strategies, metacognition, motivation, and beliefs related to the learning process. I also have practical experience in these topics as an educational leader, teacher, lecturer, trainer for teachers and other educational workers and school teams, as well as a parent. Mentoring is for me a combination of mindset and tools that helps me support teachers, learners, and parents in my daily work. We actually have many answers to different situations, doubts, uncertainties, and worries within us, but too often we wait for solutions and answers from someone else and somewhere outside. Mentoring helps a person reach these answers and change the world around them through themselves.
