Taimi Elenurm
Supervisor-Coach (Level 8), psychodrama practitioner, trainer, psychologist
About
At the starting point of success are searches: searches for a dignified life, satisfaction and dignity, supported by resilience and emotional intelligence, caring, playfulness and the joy of creation. I am a psychologist and supervisor, my work is to support people and teams in moments when life brings challenges, changes or difficulties. It is important for me to create a safe and trusting space where complex topics become more understandable and difficulties more manageable. What to preserve as lasting and personal, what to change and further develop, what to leave behind and what to accept as inevitable? And how to remain yourself in a changing environment and still continue to develop stronger than before? – these are the more frequent topics we discuss in the form of developmental coaching, supervision, psychological counseling and training, drawing on perspectives from psychology and psychotherapy, group behavior and personnel management. My work is guided by three values: caring, finding meaning and joy in collaboration. After completing a three-year supervisor and coach training, I have worked in this field for over 20 years. My working methods are evidence-based solution-focused, systemic and creative therapy techniques; I also use methods and approaches from various psychotherapies: stress reduction, burnout prevention, conflict resolution, mediation techniques and self-reflection exercises; solution-focused, cognitive behavioral, art, gestalt and logotherapy as well as psychodrama and neuro-linguistic programming techniques; methods and approaches from psycho-dynamic, systemic, existential and metacognitive therapy and health promotion, as well as a hermeneutics-based approach. My journey has led me to research work, teaching, psychotherapy and personnel management, but I am most dedicated to psychological counseling and supervision. I have worked as a work counselor/supervisor, psychological counselor and psychotherapist, lecturer and trainer (Tallinn University of Technology, Tallinn University, EEK Mainor, etc.), personnel and training manager (Nordecon AS, Tallinna Sadam AS). I have had long-term cooperation with about twenty organizations from education, healthcare, social work, service, financial intermediation, manufacturing and other fields as well as the public sector, including ESMED Occupational Health, Võõras Sõber MTÜ, Mahena Keskus OÜ, Estonian Social Insurance Board, Estonian Unemployment Insurance Fund, National Institute for Health Development, Labour Inspectorate. I am co-author of 6 books (including Stress Guide, Creative Play, Mental Health at Work, Labour Market, Growing into a Family) and have written forewords and afterwords to books that have most influenced my signature as a supervisor (Viktor Frankl "The Will to Meaning", Fritz Riemann "The Ability to Love"). I have published over 300 popular science articles on personality, health and organizational psychology and personnel work in Estonian media, mainly in the magazine Personalipraktik. I have supervised over 70 master's theses in the fields of personnel management, organizational behavior, occupational health and health promotion.
