I come from the social sector, having worked for 15 years both as a civil servant and directly at the grassroots level in both Germany and Estonia, where I have personally experienced reflective learning and development through regular supervision as a client: as a social pedagogue, child protection worker, civil servant, teacher, team member and human being. One of the greatest benefits of supervision for me, beyond case discussions, was understanding and organizing the emotions, roles and relationships that arise in the work environment, through which I perceived possibilities for team functioning and effectiveness. This in turn brought a good, light feeling and increased love for work that had sometimes seemed quite turbulent. Supervision is an opportunity for all people working with people who want to look within themselves and take time in the fast-paced work process to find new perspectives: to recognize what is already working, gain strength from it, and find new directions and solutions for bottlenecks. This is a victory for work happiness and personal well-being. Supervision doesn't work if it's just an obligation and if there's no sense of safety and trust. Supervision is a process and I'm happy to answer your questions and introduce myself and my work style.
