Leader & Mentor
Katrin Puusepp is an inspiring mentor and trusted leader who is an alumna of the Fontes mentoring program. She is recognized as a role model who has made significant professional and personal impact on her colleagues.
I have always been fascinated by people and the environments in which they work. Understanding what makes individuals thrive professionally and contribute meaningfully has been at the heart of my career for years. But it’s also personal. There have been times when my traits made it difficult for me to deal with work demands and challenges. I had to adjust, change my behaviour, and actively build resilience, gaining new knowledge and skills along the way. That journey has shaped both my expertise and my approach to helping others. With experience across different organisations and roles, I have helped professionals optimise performance, build resilience, and navigate career transitions. As a manager, I have guided individuals toward success, but I’ve also faced difficult moments that forced me to reassess my values, leadership style, and professional presence. These experiences reinforced my belief that sustainable high performance isn’t just about technical skills. It’s about emotional resilience, strategic adaptation, and creating work environments that empower us to do our best. Today, my passion sits at the intersection of strategic execution and human performance, helping knowledge workers actively shape the direction of their work, the way they perceive themselves and their careers Through WorkMentor, I bring together evidence-based self-regulation tools, psychological expertise, and hands-on coaching to help people stay sharp, resilient, and genuinely well under real workplace pressure. My educational background is in psychology (BA; including microdegrees in performance and sports psychology, career counselling), behavioural science (MA), and strategic management (MBA). I’m a certified coach and mentor (EMCC) and an accredited facilitator (AoF). If you’re looking for personalised, research-backed guidance on strategies for dealing with work-related situations, you’re in the right place, and I’m so excited to work with you.
The world of work is changing faster than ever. For knowledge workers especially, high expectations, digital overload, and constant context-switching make it harder to stay focused, confident, and resilient. That's where I come in. The most successful performers are the ones who can manage the pressure and get the most out of their ability "when the lights come on," and it's time to perform (borrowed from John Silva and colleagues). I help knowledge workers build that capacity using evidence-based self-regulation tools, including SNAP, a four-step protocol I developed and tested through my research, alongside performance mentoring for longer-term growth, and focused 30-minute sessions when you need help with one specific issue, fast.
