Quality-assured osteopathy in Estonia
Mittetulundusühing Balti Osteopaatide Assotsiatsioon
Unites and licenses osteopaths in Estonia and promotes the practice of osteopathy. Oversees osteopath licensing, quality and professional standards, and helps clients find licensed osteopaths for musculoskeletal and other health concerns.
The Baltic Osteopaths Association (BOA), founded in 2014, is a non-profit professional organisation that unites and licenses osteopaths in Estonia and promotes osteopathy as a conscious healing method treating the body as a whole. The association oversees osteopath licensing, quality assurance and the development of professional standards, and helps clients find trustworthy, licensed osteopaths.
A licensed osteopath has completed at least 4000–4800 hours of professional training. Maintaining the license requires ongoing continuing education – at least 80 academic hours every four years – keeping knowledge and skills up to date.
In Europe, osteopathy standards are coordinated by Osteopathy Europe, which brings the profession together across 22 countries. BOA verifies compliance with these standards in Estonia and issues licenses.
