How to recommend another specialist to your client
What are specialist referrals?
The referral feature allows you as a specialist to refer your client to another colleague when you see that the client needs additional support in an area outside your primary expertise. This strengthens collaboration between specialists and ensures the best holistic care for the client.
How does it work?
1. Open booking details
Go to your specialist dashboard and open an active booking with a client.
2. Click "Recommend another specialist"
Below the booking details, you'll find a violet button. Click it to open the referral modal.
3. Search and select a specialist
Search platform specialists by name or specialty. Select a suitable colleague.
4. Describe the reason
Write a clear description of why this specialist would benefit the client. What specifically can the recommended colleague offer.
5. Send the recommendation
Click "Send Recommendation". Both the client and the recommended specialist will receive a notification.
Who sees what?
Client
- Receives email and in-app notification about the referral
- Can see the recommended specialist's profile
- Sees your description of why this specialist is a good fit
- Can book directly from the profile
Recommended specialist
- Receives email and in-app notification
- Sees who recommended them and for which client
- Sees your description of the client's needs
- Can view the client's profile
You (the referrer)
- See all your referrals on your dashboard
- Track status: pending, viewed, booked, declined
- Can follow if the referral led to a booking
Best practices
Only recommend specialists you truly trust and whose work quality you are confident in.
Describe specifically what the client needs — this helps the colleague prepare.
Also talk to the client personally about why you recommend — this adds credibility.
Recommend a maximum of 3 specialists per booking to avoid overwhelming the client.
Referring shows professionalism — you acknowledge the client needs more than one specialist can offer.
